Mission Statement:
The mission of the South Gwinnett Counseling Department is to provide academic, personal/social and career support to students for the purpose of graduating from high school and pursuing post-secondary education.

Counseling office hours are Monday thru Friday 7:00am-2:50pm.
New student registration is done by appointments only. Please call (770) 736-4335 to schedule your appointment after completing the On-Line registration forms prior to your appointment.

If you do not have your child's official transcript, please fill out a Records' Release form in person and leave it at South Gwinnett HS to request your child's records at least a week before your registration appointment with the Counselor.
We must have your student's transcript as well as all required documents needed in order for the Counselor to schedule classes.

The Registrar (Griselle Ortiz) will assist with information regarding Permissive Transfers and Homeless Status (McKinney Vento).
